This program prepares students for positions as chair-side Dental Assistants. This program includes instruction on the history of dentistry, introduction to dental office procedures, the legal aspects of dentistry, introduction to oral anatomy, dental operatory, introduction to tooth structure, and other dental related information and skills.

The program objective is to develop students to properly assist the dentist in comprehensive basic patient oral healthcare and dental specialties. Graduates of this program will be qualified to take the Dental Assisting National Board (DANB) and qualify to apply for positions in dental clinics and offices.
